South Bank Parklands

South Bank Parklands is Brisbane’s premier riverside destination, featuring the iconic man-made Streets Beach, lush rainforest walks, and diverse eateries. Visitors can swim for free in the lagoon-style pool, stroll along the promenade, or explore the cultural precinct including QAGOMA (Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art). It’s a vibrant hub for relaxation, events, and stunning skyline views.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

Opened in 1927, Lone Pine is the world’s oldest and largest koala sanctuary. Located just 12 km from Brisbane’s city center, it allows visitors to cuddle a koala, hand-feed kangaroos, and observe platypuses and wombats. The sanctuary focuses on conservation and animal welfare, offering daily keeper talks and a peaceful riverside setting where you can interact closely with Australia’s unique native wildlife.

Mount Coot-tha Lookout

Mount Coot-tha Lookout offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of Brisbane city, the winding Brisbane River, and the surrounding mountain ranges, including the Glass House Mountains on clear days. Just 15 minutes from the CBD, it’s a perfect spot for sunrise or sunset photography. The area also features bushwalking trails, a café, and the nearby Brisbane Botanic Gardens with its tropical and arid plant displays.
